this project is based on stars in the night sky. there are two sets of randomly sized and placed star functions that blink in and out in different colors of the rainbow. there are multiple five-pointed and four-pointed stars pinned into place on the screen that rotate either clockwise or counter-clockwise, also in different colors of the rainbow. the work is meant to evoke a sense of magic and an otherworldly beauty.

this dreamy, soft artwork changes from a prairie in sunlight to a prairie lit by moonlight and stars when a user clicks on the canvas. a butterfly drawing is in place of the cursor as if it is flying through the scene. this is meant to be playful and reminiscent of a recurring daydream i have often.

bee

this is a test artwork we produced in class for an introduction to making interactive drawings with code. users can interact with the flower by clicking with the bee cursor on the screen. to see what changes, users can hold down the cursor.

this was the first artwork we created with p5js using javascript code. we learned how to incorporate and animate different shapes, toggling with size, length, width, height, and their location on the screen. i experimented with different color combinations with different shapes for this composition.
